MOQ is shaped by the product platform, factory production run, branding method, packaging materials and component commitments. A useful MOQ discussion therefore starts with the exact product and customization scope—not with one number applied to an entire catalogue.
DUPOW’s planning references
For early planning, DUPOW currently uses these typical category references. They are not binding quotations and may change with the exact model, configuration and packaging program.
| Category | Typical planning MOQ |
|---|---|
| Power tools | 500 units |
| Painting & surface-finishing tools | 100 units |
| Woodworking & benchtop tools | 300 units |
| Power generation & engines | 100 units |
| Garden & outdoor equipment | 300 units |
| Automotive & workshop equipment | 300 units |
The current reference sample cycle is around seven days after specifications are confirmed. Production is generally around 30 days after sample and packaging approval, with the final schedule reconfirmed for each order. See the current Commercial Terms.
What raises the MOQ?
- Custom moulded parts or a unique housing colour that requires a dedicated material run.
- Printed cartons, manuals and rating labels in buyer-specific languages.
- A non-standard accessory bundle or battery configuration.
- Destination-market plugs, cables or components that are not part of the normal production plan.
- Retailer testing, labelling or packaging protocols that create separate setup work.
How to make a smaller opening order workable
Keep the first specification close to a reviewed standard configuration. Use a consistent brand system across several compatible items, limit packaging variation and prioritize products with a realistic replenishment path. If several SKUs share a supplier platform, packaging style or battery system, the overall program can be easier to organize even though each SKU still has its own MOQ.
What to include in an MOQ request
Send the product model, destination, quantity by SKU, electrical version, colour, logo method, packaging type, manual languages, accessory list and required documents. Without those details, an MOQ is only a rough number and may not survive the quotation review.
